Person injured after helicopter crashes at Auckland's Dairy Flat

One person has been injured after a helicopter crash in Dairy Flat, north of Auckland this afternoon.

Emergency services received reports of the crash at around 3.45pm on Friday.

A police spokesperson said: "One person received minor injuries and inquiries into the circumstances of the incident remain ongoing."

Footage captured by 1News showed the aircraft had sustained substantial damage.

FENZ crews from East Coast Bays and Silverdale responded to the crash. Police were also in attendance.

The Civil Aviation Authority had been notified, police said.
