A lucky Cantabrian is the country's newest millionaire after taking home $1 million at last night's Lotto draw.

Saturday's winning numbers were 6, 9, 27, 28, 30 and 32, with a bonus ball of 36 and Powerball of 9. The winning ticket was purchased in Canterbury through MyLotto.

Powerball was not struck and has rolled over to Wednesday night's draw, where the jackpot will climb to $12 million.

Meanwhile, a Gisborne player won $400,000 with Strike Four. The winning ticket was also sold through MyLotto.

Earlier this month, an Ashburton Lotto player took home $28.6 million in the year's largest Lotto win so far.
