Report of body in water at Flat Bush park, police cordon off area

A recovery operation is underway in Auckland's Rongomai Park after a report of what was believed to be a body in the water.

Police said a member of the public had made the report at 4.08pm.

"The scene is at a secluded pond within the park, near Ōtara."

Search and rescue was in attendance to search the area.

Walkway entrances into the park had been temporarily cordoned off while police worked at the scene.
