Emergency crews tackle fire at tavern in Auckland CBD

Firefighters are tackling a fire at a pub in the Auckland CBD this evening.

Crews were called to the fire at Mr Murdoch's on Fort St around 6pm, a Fire and Emergency NZ spokesperson said.

Three crews were working inside the second floor of the building, while one crew was working from an aerial appliance outside.

"The building was evacuated and all persons are accounted for," the spokesperson said.

"Additional crews are responding to assist with salvage."
