Bored pilot leaves message in the sky between England and Wales

Most of us have days bored out of our mind at school or work – and now a pilot flying over the border between England and Wales has left a message in the sky, spelling out his malaise.
The note, reading "I’m bored", was captured on airline tracking site Flightradar24.
The seven-letter phrase was etched in the sky during a two-hour Ravenair flight from Liverpool and around the Wirral peninsula, through to Cheshire, North Wales and the Dee estuary at 11.25am on Saturday (10.30pm Sunday NZT).
The pilot spent 20 minutes writing the words over the water between Talacre and Greenfield at an altitude of around 335m and just under 100 knots, according to Flightradar24.
Aircraft rental service Ravenair said the pilot responsible was a flying instructor in his 20s who was testing a Piper Tomahawk plane after it was fitted with a replacement cylinder.
"I think the pilot was literally a bit bored, as it was just a test flight. Mind you, it was pretty skilful flying," operations manager Wayne Barrett told the BBC.
He suggested the pilot would not be reprimanded for the message.
“He’s not in trouble but we have had a lot of attention from it. The plane is now safely back in the hangar, and the pilot is on his day off.”
