Powerball jackpot climbs again as $25m prize goes unstruck
The eye-watering $25 million Powerball prize up for grabs in tonight’s live lotto draw has gone unstruck.
Powerball has now rolled over for the 10th consecutive draw.
Tonight’s winning numbers were 21, 26, 10, 40, 22 and 37. The Bonus Ball was 15, and the Powerball was 6.
Two lucky punters won Division Two and walked away with $30,183.
Winning numbers, prize amounts, and the number of winners have been published tonight, but information on where winning tickets were sold will be released at 11am tomorrow.
On Wednesday, one player won Lotto First Division, taking home $1 million. The winning ticket was sold at New World Ilam in Christchurch.
On the same night, one Strike player won Strike Four, taking home $200,000. The winning ticket was sold at New World Ormiston in Auckland.
This draw also comes after a Waikato local scooped all four First Division prizes in the first July draw.
Heads were turned when Lotto revealed the four winning First Division prizes from last Wednesday’s draw were all sold at the same retailer, The Bookshop and Lotto on Huntly’s Main St.
First Division carries a prize of $1 million, split into $250,000 for each winning ticket.
With speculation high over the shop’s apparent lucky strike, the Government-owned agency has since confirmed a local in the township – a regular player who chooses his own numbers each time – was responsible for winning all four.
What to do if you win
Ticket holders can immediately see if they have won if they purchased a ticket through the MyLotto app. Prizes of $1000 or less are automatically credited to the account.
For prizes exceeding $1000, winners must complete an online prize claim form.
Winners with physical tickets must still visit a Lotto retailer to claim their prize.
For the Powerball jackpot to be claimed, a ticket holder must get all six Lotto numbers correct as well as the added Powerball number.
