Senior police employee under investigation, force declines to give details

A senior New Zealand Police employee is under investigation, police have confirmed.

The Herald understands allegations include workplace misconduct and the alleged misuse of police resources and systems.

The Herald put several claims to police about what was allegedly being investigated. Police declined to answer specific questions.

A spokesperson said: “Police can confirm a process remains ongoing and we are unable to comment in detail at this time.”

The Herald is not naming the employee.
