The Melbourne Cricket Ground will host up to three NFL regular season games from next year, in a coup for Antipodean fans of the sport and Victorian tourism.

The Herald Sun reports the Los Angeles Rams and Philadelphia Eagles - the two franchises with Australian marketing rights - are set to face off in October 2026.

The Rams won the 2022 Super Bowl, while Philadelphia is in the 59th edition against Kansas City next Monday.

The Eagles and Rams met in an NFC Divisional playoff game last month in snowy conditions in Philadelphia, with the Eagles winning 28-22.

The NFL is expected to reveal more details this week.
