The Warriors paid for a slow start against the Sydney Roosters, losing 38-18 in Sydney.

The Roosters scored four tries in the opening 13 minutes - with doubles to Dominic Young and Angus Crichton.

The hosts led 22-0 at halftime, before pushing that lead out to 26 points soon after play resumed.

The Warriors scored three tries in the final 30 minutes through Ed Kosi, Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad and Addin Fonua-Blake, but the Roosters closed out a good win.
