'Great test match' - Rassie Erasmus

Benjamin Plummer

Speaking to Sky Sport, Springboks coach Rassie Erasmus called it a "great test match".

"Maybe not always quality rugby but intensity for sure."

He said the Springboks started losing control under the heavy rain, which is why some substitutions were made.

"They always have a fast start and we really tried to counter the fast start. It wasn't something magnificent they did there, it was just an error from us," Erasmus said of the All Blacks' first try in the opening two minutes of the game.

"It's always very tough against them and tonight was nothing different."
