Martinborough Hotel. The owner of the hotel Tim Smith says he’s by 10am on Thursday,18 guest nights had been cancelled. He says others in the district are hit harder by severe weather but says it’s clear the town needs a new bridge.
Ken and Fran Henderson’s Kaikōura home was flooded during torrential rain this week. The carpet remains sodden and the couple are staying in a motel while they wait to hear from their insurance company about the repair work that’s needed.
