Auckland broadband outages leave more than 1000 properties offline

More than a thousand homes and businesses across Auckland are currently affected by broadband outages.

RNZ has identified at least 1045 properties impacted by fibre outages in several areas including Mount Roskill, Glen Eden and Meadowbank.

The majority of affected customers are in Mount Roskill, where up to 892 services have been without broadband since shortly before 9am on Wednesday.

According to the outage information, technicians have been assigned to investigate the fault. Service is expected to be restored by 9.45am on Thursday.

A separate outage in Glen Eden is affecting up to 64 services. It was reported on Wednesday afternoon, with restoration currently expected by 4.33pm on Thursday.

In Meadowbank, up to 35 services have been affected by an outage reported on Tuesday morning. A technician has been assigned to investigate, but no estimated restoration time has been provided.

The outages are all listed as being under investigation.
