Live: Black Caps v England, first test, fourth day

New Zealand have been beaten by England on the fourth day of the first Test at Lord’s.

Only persistent rain stretched the encounter into day four, with neither batting line-up seemingly able to master pitch conditions at the home of cricket.

The Black Caps fell 115 runs short of their pursuit of 254 for victory, bowled out for just 138 runs in their second innings, a little more than an hour into the day’s play.
