Crash causes big delays on Auckland Harbour Bridge

The crash happened before 6.15pm on Thursday.

NZTA is warning motorists to avoid the Auckland Harbour Bridge due to a crash, which is causing bad congestion.

The crash happened in a northbound lane, just before 6.15pm on Thursday.

The Transport Agency said the traffic was backed up all the way back to Ellerslie for those wanting to head north out of the city.

'Avoid the area if possible [or] pass the crash with care and expect delays,' NZTA tweeted.
