Buses disrupted in Swanson, West Auckland, after drivers' protest

A number of bus services from West Auckland that were disrupted due to a protest by drivers are back in operation.
Early on Friday, Auckland Transport said New Zealand Bus services in Swanson would not be operating until after 8am.
Its spokesman, Mark Hannan, said New Zealand Bus staff were holding a protest at the Swanson depot but he did not know what they were campaigning about.
Twenty-two bus routes, including the 125X, 755, 22N, 82, 24R, 24B, 22R, 27H, 24W, 14T, 14W, 18, 162, 670, 110, 221X, 248X, 243X, 101, 105, 125, 223X, were affected.
School buses 542, 725, 545, 418 and 417 were initially affected but were put back into service at about 7.25am.
All services resumed by 8.35pm.
New Zealand Bus has been approached for comment.
