Auckland Harbour Bridge traffic at a crawl after 'incident'
Monday, 6 May 2019
Traffic heading north over the Auckland Harbour Bridge was heavy on Monday afternoon thanks to an incident near Westhaven Marina.
The incident temporarily blocked the left-hand lane on the approach to the bridge, but was soon cleared.
NZTA warned motorists to pass with care and expect delays while congestion eased.
Traffic was backed up to Spaghetti Junction.
Police said the incident appeared to be caused by a medical event.
'A car pulled to the side with a person requiring medical attention,' a police spokeswoman said.
