SkyCity Convention Centre fire as it happened: Inquiry into cause of blaze could take weeks

Startling images reveal the extent of the damage inside the SkyCity Convention Centre.

Fire services remain at the site of a large blaze at Auckland's SkyCity Convention Centre, which is currently under construction.

The massive fire burning at SkyCity's Cconvention Centre has dampened down but fire crews are still battling flames and flare-ups.

The fire has been contained and operations at the site are being scaled back, but crews are expected to remain for a number of days as investigations into the cause of the fire and assessments of the building take place.
