My Food Bag appoints Kevin Bowler as new chief executive
Wednesday, 16 May 2018
My Food Bag's husband and wife team Cecilia and James Robinson have announced former New Zealand Tourism chief executive Kevin Bowler will replace them at the helm of the meal delivery company.
Bowler is no stranger to the chief executive position, having worked as the chief executive of Tourism New Zealand for seven years.
He then became an executive of drinks company Frucor Suntory in August 2016.
The Robinsons announced in April they would vacate their chief executive roles for a place on the company's board.

Cecilia Robinson said the company had specifically sought someone with experience in building high-performing teams and good customer service.
'Kevin has that reputation. His experience in consumer products on the one hand and digital business on the other makes him ideal for this position.'
Bowler's experience covers a broad range of sectors, including consumer packaged goods, telecommunications and media.
'I love that the business is built in New Zealand and for New Zealand,' he said.
'I've admired the innovation and pace set by the My Food Bag team for some time.'
The company was founded by the Robinsons, Masterchef winner Nadia Lim and her husband Carlos Bagrie, and former Telecom chief executive Theresa Gattung in March 2013.
Since then the company has topped $100 million in annual revenue and delivered about 40 million meals in 14 cities in New Zealand and Australia.
Following Auckland-based Waterman Capital's investment in My Food Bag in 2016, the company announced it was looking to list in the next three years.
