Four NZ Post and Kiwibank branches to close in Dunedin
Tuesday, 12 June 2018
Kiwibank and New Zealand Post will close four joint branches around Dunedin.
NZ Post said in a statement that it remained 'committed to providing postal services to the Dunedin community, and continuing to have locations that our customers can easily access'.
The comment was made after the company announced the closure of NZ Post and Kiwibank branches in South Dunedin, Moray Place, Dunedin North and Mosgiel. A PostShop in Kilbirnie, Wellington, is also set to close.
The company has not yet said when the stores will close, nor how many jobs will be affected.

Kiwibank, which operates independently to NZ Post, will instead operate a stand-alone branch in Dunedin's CBD.
NZ Post head of retail Mark Yagmich said he wanted to reassure customers that postal services would continue to be provided to the Dunedin community.
'While we understand this is a change in how people will be able to access postal services, we are having to make these changes in order to operate as a commercially sustainable business.
'We already successfully deliver postal services through local businesses in many communities, including other parts of Dunedin.'
NZ Post was managing the loss of revenue from the ongoing and significant decline in letters, and was working with local businesses to continue to provide postal services, he said.
