Dozens of staff are expected to be impacted by a restructure of Discovery’s operations in New Zealand and Australia following its acquisition last year of MediaWorks television business.
The US company announced in September that it was acquiring television channels Three and Bravo along with MediaWorks’ Newshub journalism arm.
A Discovery spokeswoman said the company was working to determine “the structure, skills and capabilities needed to achieve our goals”.
“Our people are our priority as we undergo this period of change,' she said.

Discovery is seeking to integrate three businesses into a single trans-Tasman organisation.
These are the television business it acquired from MediaWorks, the Top TV businesses which it separately acquired in 2019 and which produces Choice TV and HGTV, and Discovery’s pre-existing business in New Zealand and Australia.
Earlier this month, Discovery announced a new leadership team for the trans-Tasman business, which is headed by two general managers, Rebecca Kent who is based in Sydney and Glen Kyne in Auckland.
