Reserve Bank restructures digital services team, cuts five roles
Thursday, 18 June 2020
Five Reserve Bank roles will be lost as part of plans to change the structure and operating model of its digital services team.
The bank rejected the suggestion that any jobs would be lost or restructured when Stuff approached it on Wednesday, but made the announcement a day later.
A spokesman said a proposal for the changes had been with staff for consultation since May 28 and final decisions were shared with them on Thursday

“Due to our need for confidentiality when the consultation was under way, we have not been able to comment publicly on this until now,” he said.
“The new operating structure is in response to the changing priorities, outcomes and initiatives that the bank has set out to achieve in its digital strategy, which is part of us achieving our vision of ‘great team, best central bank’. The new structure will improve the functional alignment across our digital services team.”
He said 14 new full-time-equivalent roles would be created across the department and its head count would increase to 58.
“Five roles have been disestablished as part of the changes. Affected staff are being offered full support at this time and are eligible to apply for these new roles.
“The structural change solely relates to the bank’s digital services area. Recruitment for the new roles will begin shortly.”
