Lorde has announced the dates for her international ‘Ultrasound’ tour, and New Zealand does not feature on the list.

The Auckland-born singer will touch down in North America, UK and Europe but has snubbed her home country and won’t return to New Zealand - or even venture to Australia - in this tour.

Lorde recently announced her fourth album Virgin, to be released on June 27, and would kick off the international tour in September.

Lorde surprised fans in New York by performing at a pop-up concert in Washington Square Park — even after police tried to shut it down. The crowd went wild as she stepped up.

She recently premiered the first song What Was That at a fan event in Washington Square Park in New York, on April 23, that got shut down by police.

She starts the tour on September 17 at Austin’s Moody Centre, and makes stops at New York City’s Madison Square Garden, Los Angeles’ Kia Forum and Las Vegas’ MGM Grand Garden Arena.

The North American leg of the tour wraps up at Seattle’s Climate Pledge Arena on October 22.

From there, she heads overseas for shows in France, Germany and Denmark, with the full tour coming to a close at Stockholm’s Annexet on December 9.

In a message to fans, Lorde said she was going on tour in support of the new album.

“Every show I play is a collaboration between you and me. We meet in a room and we make music together, our bodies and the machines in search of something bigger together.

“12 years of meeting up and making sound that's just for us. Since last time I've been stripping away unnecessary layers, finding us more room to move. I think that Ultrasound could be our masterpiece.”

Tickets were due to go on sale May 16, with the pre sale starting March 14.
