Did Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern let her partner dye her hair?
Sunday, 17 May 2020
Did the lockdown have you reaching for a box of hair dye or dredging out a pair of kitchen scissors to tame your unruly locks? If so, you're in good company.
It turns out even Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern may have taken matters into her own hands at home too.
Fiance Clarke Gayford said he helped dye Ardern's hair before turning his attention to their daughter's locks, according to a post made on Twitter.
Daughter Neve received a home haircut 'with scissors I bought at [the] supermarket for $6', he wrote.

All eyes will be on Ardern's hair come Monday, as Gayford neglected to upload a photo of his apparent handiwork.
However, all appeared to have gone well — 'remarkably both parties [are] still talking to me', Gayford stated.
Hairdressers are allowed to operate in alert level 2, but some Kiwis used the lockdown to experiment with home hair cuts and colours.
Cafes are also allowed to operate. However, Ardern and Gayford made international headlines this weekend after being turned away from a Wellington cafe.
The couple had visited Olive on Saturday morning, but were turned away because it had already reached its limit of customers under social distancing rules.
Gayford said he had 'to take responsibility for this, I didn't get organised and book anywhere,' he wrote in response to a post about the incident on Twitter.
Fortunately a spot freed up shortly after, and the couple were 'chased down the street' by a cafe worker, Gayford said.
