Stuff has launched a content sharing partnership with lifestyle website Capsule, to further boost the range of lifestyle coverage across New Zealand’s biggest news site.

Capsule started life weeks after the collapse and closure of Bauer Media’s New Zealand magazine operation in April. Four editors with former Bauer titles have been the driving force behind the site, led by New Zealand Woman’s Weekly deputy editor Kelly Bertrand along with Emma Clifton, Nicky Dewe and Alice O’Connell.

Offering its audience “smart reads and reliable rants”, Capsule received early support from Stuff chief executive and owner Sinead Boucher, which had now developed into a formal partnership.

That would see Capsule content appearing across Stuff and in its print publications.

“Stuff has been supportive of us from the beginning and is the ideal partner to help us extend that reach even further, so we’re thrilled to be working more closely with them,” Bertrand said.

Stuff’s editor in chief for its verticals, Geoff Collett, said that Capsule’s content was an ideal fit with and extension of Stuff’s own lifestyle coverage.
