Damian James Pollock named as driver in fatal Seddon crash

A man who died after his ute went off State Highway 1 in rural Marlborough has been named by police.

He was Damian James Pollock, 27, from Ward in south Marlborough.

Pollock was driving the ute when it went off the highway between Blind River Loop Rd and Tetley Brook Rd, south of Seddon, about 11pm on July 1.

Emergency services attended the crash but Pollock died at the scene.

The Serious Crash Unit had examined the site the next morning.

A police spokeswoman said police were still investigating the circumstances of the crash.
