World's first usable flying car to debut at Geneva Motor Show

It looks like owning a flying car is a little closer to reality - if you have the money to spare.

The PAL-V Liberty is the world's first production flying car and is due to make its first appearance at the Geneva motor show in March.

But it won't be cheap.

The starting price for the flying vehicle is US $399,000 (NZ $552,281).

Converting from fly to drive mode takes up to 10 minutes, and on the road the PAL-V Liberty makes just 100 hp and can travel up to 100 mph.

in flight mode, it can hit a max speed of 112 mph and has 200 hp.

It can transport up to 2 people, but buyers should have a driving and pilot license.

It is expected the PAL-V Liberty will reach customers in 2019.
