Hyundai teases next-gen Santa Fe SUV
Wednesday, 27 May 2020
Hyundai has revealed its first glimpse at the next generation of Santa Fe SUV.
According to the manufacturer, the new version of the SUV will feature 'a dignified and charismatic exterior design, as well as interior design updates providing premium sensibility and comfort.' Not much to do on but it sounds like the Santa Fe will push further towards luxury.
We have one teaser image to look at, which shows off narrow eyes, twin vertical DRL strakes and a large grille. Again, it's not much but it looks like Hyundai's new local flagship SUV will be quite imposing on the road. It also looks like there are a couple of cameras mounted either side of the lights but it's hard to tell what their function may be.
Hyundai will also introduce hybrid and plug-in hybrid powertrain options for the first time. In addition, the new Santa Fe will be the first Hyundai model in Europe, and first Hyundai SUV globally, based on the all-new third-generation Hyundai vehicle platform.

The new platform allows for significant improvements in performance, handling and safety, as well as facilitating electrified powertrains.
We can expect more details in the coming months as Hyundai has said the new Santa Fe will debut in Europe this September.
Last time we checked out the Santa Fe, it won our Best SUV for 2018. It'll be interesting to see how well the new one stacks up when it arrives later this year.
