Serious crash near Ōtorohanga

Two people have been injured in a road smash east of Ōtorohanga.

Emergency services were called to Scown Road about 7.30pm on Friday after a farm bike and a car collided.

Waikato police Senior Sergeant Simon Cherry said a man and a woman were injured in the crash.

The woman is being transported to Waikato Hospital but her injuries aren't considered serious.

Cherry said Scown Rd is a rural road and asked motorists to avoid the area while police were at the scene.
