Search for 17-year-old male swept off rocks near Raglan suspended for the night

Police have suspended a search for a missing 17-year-old male, who was swept off the rocks near Raglan
The teenager was swept away at Papanui Point near Raglan at about 1:30pm on Saturday.
He was in the area with three others.
Police Search and Rescue, Coastguard, Surf Lifesaving and the Westpac Rescue Helicopter were all assisting with the search.

It was suspended for the evening due to the conditions and wass expected to resume tomorrow.
The 17-year-old's family was advised of the discontinuation of the search, and were being supported by police.
