Pedestrian hit by bus in Manners St, only a month since last incident

A man has been taken to hospital after being hit by a bus on Manners St on Monday afternoon.

A man has been taken to Wellington Regional Hospital in a serious condition after being hit by a bus on Manners St just before 4pm on Monday afternoon, at the upper end of the street, towards Willis St.

A police spokeswoman said the man appeared to be in a serious condition.

Buses were diverted away after a pedestrian was hit by a bus on Manners St on Monday afternoon.

Wellington Free Ambulance spokeswoman Sarah Coulthard said paramedics attended the incident and the man was taken to hospital in a serious condition.

Buses were being diverted down Wakefield St away from Manners St.

Traffic was being diverted away from the incident.

There have been several accidents in Manners St involving pedestrians with one just two months ago when a man was hit by a bus on October 10.
