Two people die in road-related incidents in Hawke's Bay

Two people have died overnight in road-related incidents, and a pedestrian has been critically injured after being hit by a car.
In Napier, a person died after the car they were travelling in hit a tree on Marine Parade about 10pm on Wednesday.
On Thursday, a woman involved in a serious crash near Waipawa earlier in the week died, police said.
The two-vehicle crash in Central Hawke's Bay occurred at the intersection of Pourerere Road and River Road about 7pm Monday.

Two people were taken to hospital - one with critical injuries.
In Wellington, a pedestrian has been seriously injured following a collision with a car on Oriental Parade at about 5.10am on the morning of Anzac Day.
Police and emergency services are at the scene and the pedestrian has been taken to hospital.
The road was closed and diversions are in place. Wellington drivers are asked to avoid the area while police examine the scene.
The serious crash unit is investigating the incidents.
