The K Rd Chronicles, a video series about homeless people in Auckland

Tuesday, 7 May 2019

On May 8, the first of an eight-part video documentary on homelessness, the K' Road Chronicles, is published on Stuff. (Video first published May 3, 2019)

Every homeless person has a story, and how they get to living on the streets is different.

From Monday, Stuff is publishing the The K Rd Chronicles, an eight-part video series telling some of those stories from the streets of New Zealand's biggest city.

Each episode focuses on a different character living on Karangahape Road in Auckland, and the systems in place to help them get off the streets.

The series challenges preconceptions about how people become homeless, and why getting off the streets is such a complicated process.

The K Rd Chronicles is hosted by a transgender journalist called Six, who was homeless for six years.
