Lotto has jackpotted to a huge $42 million after Saturday's winning numbers weren't struck.

The numbers were 8, 15, 22, 36, 39, 40. The bonus ball was 31 and the Powerball number was 10.

The Village Post Temuka has sold another winner Lotto ticket making it three in a row.

'Forty two million dollars is the second largest prize in Powerball history in New Zealand, and if won would be an absolute life-changer,' said Marie Winfield, Head of Communications and Corporate Social Responsibility at Lotto NZ.

'The last time Powerball was over $40 million was in 2016 when a couple from the Hibiscus Coast won the $44 million jackpot.'

Not everyone has walked away empty handed.

Two Lotto players, from Auckland and Waihi, won $500,000 with Lotto First Division.

Their winning tickets were sold at New World Waihi and online at MyLotto for the Auckland player.

Tonight’s winning numbers are 22, 8, 36, 39, 15 and 40. Bonus ball 31 and Powerball 10. Good luck everyone!
