A person has died at a quarry in Drury, south Auckland.
A police spokesperson confirmed emergency services were called to the scene at 12.45pm on Tuesday after a workplace incident.
'Worksafe will be notified and the death will be referred to the coroner.'
A St John Ambulance spokeswoman said an ambulance and a rapid response vehicle also attended the scene after being called to a motor vehicle accident at the site.
A worker at Stevensons Aggregates on Quarry Rd confirmed there had been an incident at the site but could not say more.
'Everyone is busy dealing with it at the moment,' she said.
