Shoreline search for missing fisherman near Raglan continues

A shoreline search continues for a fisherman who went missing off some rocks on the coast near Raglan.

The man in his 40s told a friend he was going fishing off the rocks at Papanui Point on Sunday.

His vehicle was later located near the car park and his belongings located on the beach.

The Raglan Surf club will do a shoreline search around the point at the northern end of Ruapuke beach.

Search and rescue searched the area on Monday.

Police ask that anyone who has been in this area in the past couple of days, and has witnessed anything of note, to get in contact on 105 quoting file number 210503/2078.
