Rescue chopper makes trio of trips to Golden Bay

The Nelson Marlborough Rescue Helicopter was called three times to Golden Bay on Saturday, flying all three patients to Nelson Hospital.

Pilot Euan Stratford said the first call-out at 5am was to Tākaka in response to a medical event, followed at 3.30pm by another medical call-out to Tākaka.

The final flight for the day was also to the Bay, to Turimawiwi, where a person suffered back injuries after an ATV rolled over, he said.
