One dead after workplace incident near Hastings

A person is dead after a workplace incident on a rural Hawke’s Bay property.

Police were called to Salisbury Rd in Maraekakaho about 7:15pm on Wednesday.

A man in his 40s was found dead at the scene.

A Worksafe spokesperson said the organisation had been informed.

It was believed the incident had occurred on a farm.
