Live: New Zealand Defence Force C-130 Hercules to fly to tsunami-hit Tonga today

Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern and Defence Minister Peeni Henare say a C-130 Hercules will be sent to Tonga today to drop supplies and provisions.

In Tonga, the underwater volcanic eruption and tsunami have left its islands with limited power and communications. The New Zealand Defence Force is working to supply clean water to Tonga after its water supply was contaminated by volcanic ash.
