Delays expected, one person critically injured in Whenuapai crash

Traffic is building in northwestern Auckland after a crash left one person with critical injuries.

Police have advised motorists travelling on Fred Taylor Drive in Whenuapai that traffic was building after the 1.30pm incident.

The person who was critically injured had been taken to hospital.

Motorists in the area should expect delays and avoid the road if they can, a police spokesperson said.

The serious crash unit had been notified.
