Destiny Church co-leader Hannah Tamaki is the owner of a snazzy new Mercedes-Benz costing $153,500, her second luxury car purchase in seven months.

Tamaki, who is married to Destiny leader Brian Tamaki, took ownership of the car at the end of July, NZME reported

The starting price for an Mercedes-Benz GLE 450 AMG Coupe is $153,500.

The purchase of the nine-speed automatic vehicle, which has a V6 engine, follows the purchase of a $75,000 Mercedes-Benz earlier this year.

Hannah Tamaki, 55, took to Twitter to express her dismay at her spending being scrutinised.

In September last year, the Tamakis made headlines after detailing their month-long luxury trip on social media.

The trip included first class seats, Greek resorts, a penthouse suite in a Miami hotel, and gambling in Las Vegas.
