Auckland bouncer allegedly attacks, punches man to the ground

A video showing a man, believed to be an Auckland bouncer, punching another man in the head has surfaced online.
The short clip, which has been shared almost 2000 times on Facebook, shows two men talking before one, dressed in a high-vis vest and alleged to be a bouncer, punches the other in the head.
The blow drops the man to the ground instantly.
Just before the video ends the attacker appears to help the victim off the ground.

'Wow that was [unnecessary],' a woman could be heard saying.
A post on Facebook described the video as a 'savage attack'.
'This poor guy offered no violence, the bouncer was out of line and that's that … this [post] is to spread awareness and hopefully put a stop to how violent bouncers in Auckland can be.'
Police said they were investigating the incident despite not knowing the identity of the victim or alleged assailant.
'As a result of the video being posted online, Auckland police are investigating the incident and following lines of inquiry to identify the parties involved, including the victim,' Inspector Mark Benefield said.
'We are not immediately aware of the victim's identity however this does not prevent us from investigating and inquiries are underway.'
