Two lucky Lotto ticket holders from Te Kuiti and Christchurch will collect $500,000 each after the first spring draw for the year.

The winners' half-a-million dollar tickets were sold at New World Te Kuiti, south of Hamilton, and Wainoni Pak 'n Save in Christchurch.

Two players who bought tickets from Coastlands Lotto in Paraparaumu and Paper Plus Central in Rotorua won $150,000.

Lotto's Father's Day promotion was drawn with 30 extra prizes snapped up by players across the country.

Prizes included 20 lots of $10,000 and 10 Ford Rangers. Winning tickets were bought from My Lotto Marlborough, New World New Plymouth, Cromwell New World, Waiau Pa Four Square in Pukekohe, Pak 'n Save Hastings, Pak 'n Save Rangiora, Dargaville Postshop and Lotto, Windsor Stationery and Lotto in Invercargill, Rangatira Superette, and Lincoln Heights Superette in Auckland.

Despite the wins for Saturday's draw, the Powerball jackpot has gone up to $22 million for the Wednesday draw after no-one guessed the Powerball draw number, four.

Anyone who bought a ticket from any of the mentioned stores should write their name on the back of the ticket and check it immediately at any Lotto outlet, online at mylotto.co.nz, or through the Lotto NZ App.
