One person dead after single-vehicle crash in Christchurch

One person has died following a crash in the Christchurch suburb of Hornby on Friday evening.

Emergency services were called to the single-vehicle crash on Waterloo Rd shortly before 5pm.

The road is currently closed and diversions are in place.

The Serious Crash Unit is at the scene.
