Solving stuff: Tell us what’s bugging you and we’ll investigate

What’s got you ticked off, New Zealand?
Perhaps it’s a bus that never shows up, an old law past its use by date, a strange noise in your neighbourhood or roadworks that never seem to end?
Or maybe you want to know who is responsible for your favourite lolly being discontinued, what the designers were thinking when they designed the local treacherous roundabout or why your council has spent thousands on an ugly sculpture?
Whatever’s grinding your gears, we want to hear from you. And to help you.
Stuff’s mission is to make New Zealand a better place, but we rely on you - the people of Aotearoa - to be our eyes and ears on the ground and tell us about the issues that are overlooked.
We already dig deep into issues affecting New Zealand every day, and we want to bring you along for the ride with our new project, Solving stuff.
With Solving stuff, we’ll show you the efforts that go into stacking up a news tip, the people we talk to and how we go about collecting facts and figures.
These stories won’t be your run-of-the-mill news stories, we want this journalism to be playful, energetic and distinctly Kiwi.
Below, you’ll find a Google Form where you can submit your ideas - the more information you can provide, the better. If it’s a big problem, we want to know the impact it’s having on your life. If the issue is small, but persistent, make sure you let us know exactly why it’s driving you batshit crazy.
We're talking about the issues that should be easy to solve, but aren't. The issues that aren't of huge national significance, but persistently annoying nonetheless.
Your ideas will be reviewed by Stuff journalist Caroline Williams (aka your mate who will try and get to the bottom of the problem for you). Once we’ve done that, we’ll write about it on Stuff.
So let us know what’s bugging you, and we’ll see what we can do about it.
