We want to answer your questions about petrol.

It’s day 19 of the war in Iran. The conflict has prompted global concerns over fuel supply as Iran blocks the Strait of Hormuz, a waterway critical for the movement of one-fifth of the world's oil.

The Government says there is enough petrol in New Zealand to go around, with about 50 days’ worth in the country or on its way.

As the conflict in Iran effectively closes the Strait of Hormuz, New Zealanders are feeling the burn at the pump. Acting PM David Seymour says while no formal request for military aid has been made by the US, the Cabinet isn't ruling it out.

But prices are climbing - the most expensive Stuff has seen so far is $3.17 a litre for 91 petrol in Raglan on Tuesday.
