Bangs heard, armed police seen in residential Hamilton

The officers were seen among properties on Bader St.

Loud bangs were heard, and armed police were seen in Hamilton on Friday afternoon.

Footage from the scene showed several officers down an alleyway between Bader St and Slim St around 1.30pm.

In the video, several bangs can be heard, while police, accompanied by dogs, are seen looking over the fence of a nearby property.

Police told Stuff they were conducting a preplanned search operation.

They said no shots were fired, and there was no threat to the public.
