Northland and Auckland raids underway as police target methamphetamine supply

National Organised Crime Group-led operation remains underway, with further details expected at a media briefing in Whangārei on Thursday (file photo).

Police are carrying out search warrants across Northland and Auckland as part of an ongoing investigation into the manufacture and supply of methamphetamine.

The operation, known as Operation Phoenix, is being led by the National Organised Crime Group with assistance from Northland Police.

“The activity is ongoing at this time,” police said.

More information will be provided once operational activity had concluded.
