Tova podcast: An Interview with Prime Minister Christopher Luxon
Thursday, 14 March 2024
Tova O’Brien is Stuff’s Chief’s Political Correspondent and host of the weekly political podcast, Tova. Listen to the latest episode, an interview with Prime Minister Christopher Luxon, here.
We had a whole podcast ready to go for you about wealth inequality and tax - and it was bloody interesting.
But then at the 11th hour - ta da! All our Chris—mases came at once.
We were finally granted an interview with the Prime Minister Christopher Luxon.
Followers of the podcast will know we’ve been after that puppy for about six months now.
So we postponed the wealth pod. You can hear that next week and actually - half the interview we did with David Seymour is already available on our feed as a shortcast - it’s where we talked about the government’s current tax policies.
The prime minister’s interview wasn’t the usual 20 minute studio sit down we’d been hoping for but a five minute pull aside at the magnificent Central Districts Field Days in Feilding.
We discuss police, pay, tax, Ruby Tui and the prime minister’s political radar and value judgements.
After the Luxon interview, we speak to our usual brilliant suspects - Andrea Vance on the winners and losers of the week and Luke Malpass from the Labour caucus retreat about the future of Labour.
Plus in feedback, mixed reviews on last week’s interview with Anthony Scaramucci and a mother writes in to tell us about her appalling experience trying to get living support after a having a new baby. Not good enough.
