The Warriors will be awarding debuts to at least two rookies with James Fisher-Harris and Leka Halasima sidelined with respective calf and hamstring injuries.

That pair are missing as well as Origin call-ups Mitchell Barnett (New South Wales) and Kurt Capewell, leaving them short of four key forwards.

Hooker Makaia Tafua and second rower Kayliss Fatialofa were named on the bench as cover, poised for their NRL debuts against the Cronulla Sharks on Saturday night.

The Warriors are returning from a bye week after their narrow loss to the table-topping Penrith Panthers, ending an impressive streak of six victories.

They are still second and host a Sharks team sitting eighth on the ladder before round 15. Cronulla dominated Andrew Webster’s side for a 36-22 victory when they last met across the Tasman in April.

It will be the first time the Warriors have played at their regular home since April 18, a 28-20 win over the Gold Coast Titans.
