Cape Verde followed their shock stalemate with Spain by drawing 2-2 with Uruguay in Miami in their group G clash at the FIFA World Cup on Monday (NZ time).

The South American nation fought back with Maximiliano Araújo and Agustín Canobbio’s goals, but Helio Varela pounced on confusion in their defence to equalise in the second half.
